Lyver PC Security — Privacy Policy

Effective date:

Publisher: Vantage Digital Studio
Support: sales@vantagedigitalstudio.com

This notice covers the Windows Microsoft Store desktop application. It does not cover the separately installed browser companion or third-party websites.

Information used on your device

Lyver inspects running program names and process identifiers and, where available, executable file paths. It checks selected window titles, window classes and display state for recognised remote-access and screen-hiding indicators.

It does not record screen images, microphone audio or general keyboard input. Windows registers your chosen emergency keyboard shortcut.

If you enable experimental browser startup checks, Lyver reads browser process command lines for startup flags and URLs. This feature is off by default and does not inspect most open tabs. Detected URL snippets can appear in local alerts and logs, so those records may contain personal information.

Settings may include a trusted contact’s name and phone number if you provide them. The Guardian PIN is stored as a salted derived hash, not readable plaintext. Settings are protected using Windows data protection for the current account.

Local incident records include timestamps, alert messages, recognised program names, process identifiers and the actions taken and their results. Some records may include file paths or filenames. Logs are not tamper-proof forensic records and are not all encrypted.

When you separately confirm quarantine, Lyver reads and verifies an eligible executable file and stores an encrypted local copy with information needed for restoration. This does not upload the file or perform a general scan of your personal files.

Sharing and network activity

The inspected desktop application does not implement publisher telemetry, advertising, a cloud account or automatic uploads of logs, files or contacts. Its monitoring and incident records operate locally.

Windows, Microsoft Store, certificate-trust services and websites you open have their own network behaviour and privacy terms.

You may choose to export and send an incident report. Review it and remove personal information you do not wish to share before sending it.

Sending a support request or report is a separate disclosure from the application’s local monitoring. Reports are not automatically forwarded to FunGuy.

Support information: retention and deletion

Vantage Digital Studio’s owner personally handles support, privacy enquiries and deletion requests at sales@vantagedigitalstudio.com. Support emails and reports are used to help users and investigate software issues. Reports are not automatically forwarded to FunGuy.

The owner may use ChatGPT or Codex to help analyse reports and prepare advice, removing personal information wherever possible before sharing. This is a separate support activity, not an automatic upload feature of Lyver.

Within 90 days after a support issue is resolved, we will:

  • Delete the support emails, attachments and supplied reports we hold.
  • Delete support-related ChatGPT/Codex conversations rather than merely archive them.
  • Separately remove support files uploaded to AI-service libraries or projects, and any support information saved in AI memory where applicable.
  • Delete downloaded reports, exported conversations and saved analysis containing support information from storage we control, including relevant deleted-items folders where available.

We will record the resolution date and where support information was saved so these locations can be checked during cleanup.

Separate retention by OpenAI

Our 90-day commitment covers our cleanup actions. It does not promise immediate or complete removal from OpenAI’s systems within that period.

Deleting an email or downloaded report does not delete copies shared with ChatGPT or Codex. AI conversations and uploaded files require separate deletion actions.

OpenAI generally schedules deleted chats for permanent removal within 30 days after the AI chat is deleted, subject to its published exceptions, including security or legal obligations and content already de-identified and disassociated from the account. Files and other saved records may follow separate retention rules.

See OpenAI’s ChatGPT chat and file retention guidance and Codex chat deletion guidance.

You may request deletion at sales@vantagedigitalstudio.com without waiting for routine cleanup. We will explain any applicable limitation rather than claim that deleting our copies immediately removes every provider-held copy.

Storage and removal

The Store edition stores settings, logs and quarantine data in its Windows package’s LocalState directory. Individual log files have size limits; this does not guarantee that historical logs are deleted after a fixed number of days.

Store updates are intended to retain application data. Resetting or uninstalling the Store application removes package-managed data, including encrypted quarantine copies.

Before resetting or uninstalling, export any reports you need and restore only legitimate files you trust. Do not restore suspected malicious software simply to preserve it.

The Store edition may import verified, protected settings from the website edition under the same Windows user account. It leaves the original settings untouched. Old logs and quarantine files are not automatically migrated.

Separately exported files and old website-edition data are not removed by uninstalling the Store application.
