About this notice

Shift Manager Lite is published by Vantage Digital Studio. This notice explains how the iPhone app uses information, what stays in its local storage, and what can leave your device when you choose to use system services or share information.

Shift Manager Lite is intended to launch free. Shift Manager Lite does not require an account and does not currently contain subscriptions, in-app purchases or advertising.

Information used by the app

The app saves the names you give its two local profiles, notes and quick tags attached to calendar dates, imported holiday records, and photos you choose to attach. Notes can include shift times, work patterns or any other information you enter. The app does not have a separate work-pattern generator.

Imported holiday records can contain a name, type, amount, identifier and start/end dates. The app also saves your active profile, appearance and week-start preferences, onboarding status, and reminder settings. When older data needs date conversion, it saves the original time zone you confirm.

These records are used to display and manage your calendar on your device. Profile names are local labels, not online accounts. Vantage does not automatically receive these records.

Local storage and device backups

Notes, imported holidays, profile names and preferences are stored in the app’s local settings. Attached images are saved as files in the app’s local storage. There is no app-operated server database, iCloud synchronisation or Keychain storage.

This does not mean every copy stays on one device. Depending on your device settings, Apple’s device backup can include app data. Restoring a backup can restore older records. Backups are managed through Apple or your computer, not by Vantage. The app does not manage or delete those backups.

Photos, camera and files

You can select an image using Apple’s photo picker or Files picker, or take a photo using the camera. The app reads the image you select and saves a local attachment. It does not scan your whole photo library or upload attachments to Vantage.

An image selected from Photos or Files can contain embedded information such as the place or time it was taken. The app does not deliberately strip that information from imported image files, so do not assume it has been removed. Camera images are saved as JPEG attachments; the app does not add them to your photo library.

Apple or your chosen file provider can use a network connection to retrieve a cloud-backed image. That is separate from an upload to Vantage. The app does not use contacts, microphone recordings, location services or Bluetooth. It does not currently read or write your system Calendar.

Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder and allow notifications, iOS schedules a repeating local notification at your chosen local time. Its message is “Check your schedule for today!” It does not include your notes, profile name, photos or shift details.

This is a local reminder, not a push message from a Vantage server. You can turn it off in the app or manage permission in iPhone Settings.

Import, export and sharing

Import from Clipboard reads a compatible calendar export when you tap that control. After your confirmation, it replaces the active profile’s notes and imported holidays. Older exports require you to choose their original time zone. Import does not replace attached photos.

Export Calendar & Holidays copies the active profile’s notes and imported holiday records to the system clipboard. It does not include profile names, photos or app preferences. The exported text can still contain personal information you put in notes or holiday records.

Vantage does not automatically receive exports. You decide whether to paste them into another app, message or email, and who receives them. Other apps and system clipboard features, including Universal Clipboard if enabled, can handle the copied information. Review it before sharing. Resetting the app does not erase clipboard contents or copies you have sent elsewhere.

Network activity and third-party services

The app has no publisher telemetry, analytics SDK, advertising, tracking, remote database or automatic upload feature. Its calendar and local reminders do not need a Vantage account or a connection to a Vantage service.

Tapping Privacy Policy opens a fixed public web address in your browser. No calendar records, profile names or images are added to that address. The browser sends the website and its hosting provider the information needed to request the page, such as an IP address and browser information. Website use is separate from the app’s local storage.

Apple’s operating system, App Store, backups, photo services, file providers and any apps you use to share an export have their own privacy practices. This notice does not promise that those services have no network activity.

For the website’s separate practices, read the Vantage website privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

App records have no automatic expiry. They remain in local storage until you change, replace or delete them, reset the app, or delete the app from your device. Older-format records or image copies can remain during compatibility handling until replaced or removed.

You can delete an individual note or photo attachment. Reset Calendar Notes clears notes for the active profile; it does not remove imported holidays, attached photos or the other profile’s records.

Reset All Data removes both profiles’ notes, imported holidays, attached photo files, names and settings, cancels the app’s pending and delivered notifications, restores default settings and returns to onboarding. If photo removal fails, the app reports an incomplete reset and keeps the notes.

Deleting the app removes its app-managed local data. Offloading the app keeps its documents and data. Neither the in-app reset nor app deletion removes original images in Photos or Files, device backups, exported text, clipboard contents or information already sent to someone else. Manage those copies separately.

Your choices

You choose what to enter, which images to attach, whether to enable reminders, and whether to import or export. You can edit or delete local records and manage camera or notification permissions in iPhone Settings.

Vantage cannot remotely read or delete records held only in your app’s local storage. Use the app’s deletion controls for those records.

Support and contact

Vantage Digital Studio’s owner handles Shift Manager Lite support, privacy enquiries and deletion requests at sales@vantagedigitalstudio.com.

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message and attachments. This is separate from using Shift Manager Lite; the app does not automatically send your calendar records or support information to Vantage.

Where appropriate, we may use tools such as ChatGPT or Codex to assist with investigating a support issue or preparing a response. We remove personal information wherever reasonably possible before using these tools. Shift Manager Lite does not automatically send information to AI services.

We delete support emails, attachments and related working copies under our control within 90 days after a support issue is resolved, unless we need to retain information for a legal or security reason.

Where support information has been provided to a third-party service as part of resolving your request, that service’s own retention practices may also apply. Deleting Vantage’s copy does not necessarily cause immediate deletion from another provider’s systems.

You can request earlier deletion of support information by emailing sales@vantagedigitalstudio.com. We will delete information under our control unless we need to retain it for a legal or security reason.
